Drink hot tea, or go to the บ่อน้ำ. But I don't have problem with hot weather and bear the heat better than my wife. It's cold weather I can't deal with...

If you go up country you can smear that powder over your face and down your shirt.

I don't see much of that in Bangkok though...

I have been during May and June on several occasions. As was previously mentioned, I take numerous showers. I also use lots of Snake Brand powder, try to lay low duing the mid-day hours, make excuses to take the car (air conditioned) someplace, and drink plenty of cold beer. Sit in the shade and try not to move too much. Early afternoon naps are also very helpful.

Just make sure you don't sit under a durian tree.

How do people not get killed by that?.....

Drinking cold things is the wrong way to go. Discomfort is caused by the large difference in body temperature to the ambient temperature. Hot drinks raise body temperature closer to the ambient therefore decreasing discomfort.

Travel around in the Middle East and you will always see people taking tea or coffee.
