I am traveling to Thailand on Sunday i have been many times but this time i am bringing somethings for my gf and i was wondering if i would get any trouble in customs. I am taking 2 small boxes of green tea 1 pg tips tea and 2 boxes of chocolates. Am i allowed or will they give me trouble at the airport.

Hmm. Good one. I have taken in tea before-but never been searched on entry.
Not sure what the food importation laws are-do not think they are as harsh as Australia though! (is any country?)

well i cant find a decent tea, and my gf loves the green tea we get here in the supermarkets and the chocolate, so its more for her then me. When she was over here all she did was drink green tea with fruit.

That will probably be the Twinings classic Green Tea?
Do see her point on that one-the Liptons stuff is weak-as is their "normal" tea!
I would buy it all here-then you know you have it-I really can not see a problem with customs when you consider the number of visitors that go out to see family members -they must bring stuff from home like tea & chocolate as well.
But check back here tomorrow just in case someone else posts to the contrary.

I have taken chocolate to Thailand every time I've been and never had problems (I've even taken flowers without problem.) I've also sent chocolate there through the mail and it's always arrived though melted because of the heat.

Tea I've never taken because I find the tea I buy in Thailand better than any I've bought in the UK.

I don't think there will be problems with 2 boxes of tea. it is something like personal effects.
however, please do try local teas or teas from the region, some of them are really really good and fresh. my favourite is white jasmine tea. but green jasmine is almost that good as well.
