    Hi Jakkk,
From my experience best not to get confused with tones just yet. Study all the AUA Books!!
    OK,
You lead the Way-Khun (you) pay gon, Phom ca dam ....."you lead the way and I'll follow"
Another good one to learn is...Kin aray godday, laudaa khun, PHom ca tamcay...I'll eat anything, up to you, I'll do anything you wish.
Lastly, Phaa pay kin khaow day may?.....Can you take me to eat....
Hope this helps...Roger My suggestion is to study spoken at AUA or similar College in Thailand using PHonetics. Note my English spelling is only an interpretation of the sound and could be written in numerous ways. Good Luck!

    Sanook baang. Naa-sabson baang.

I have the AUA books--the ones that are full of drills with a light-green cover. Unfortunately, they are of little use to a beginner, which is what I was at the time I ordered them. A beginner might be better off with a book that comes with an audio recording (the AUA books didn't).

Re: how to say "show me"

    Hi guys,

My advice would not be to ignore the tones at first. Tones are fundamental to the Thai language and you will not be understood unless you pronounce the words correctly.

The sooner you start to realise that the tone is an integral part of the word, and learn it as such, the better. If you leave tones to later, it's like learning the vocab all over again.

    Good luck
