Grace came out of hospital on Tuesday and was sitting her end of exams on Wednesday. She was a bit tired by the end of the day. Exams finish on Friday.

Re: Grace has the 2009 Flu and is in hospital
congratulations to the school on their compassion.
even the healthy 6-year-olds struggle with these HOURS and hours of formal exams at the end of a marathon semester. ok, fortunately she is smart and it won't be so difficult for her.... but I always see the smartest, best kids crumble and cry when it comes to their first or second P1 exams and it breaks my heart. to push someone who is sick to do that, that is nothing short of cruel in my eyes.

Approximately 10% of people are left handed in the world -so it is very possible the photo did not capture one of them.
Did you know Einstein and many American Presidents were left handed (maybe the latter is not a good example in some cases!)?
I do not think any society forces left handed people to use their right hands to write any more-it can cause psychological problems etc-George 6th (Present queen's father) was left handed and forced to write with his right hand-the stammer he developed and was later able to conquer may be attributable to this."There is no such thing as totally useless information"

Re: Grace has the 2009 Flu and is in hospital
I always have 2-3-4 left handed kids in my kids, about 10% yes.
some older teachers and some stupid parents DO insist on changing to right hand, here, in Chiang Mai, in a private school. so I cannot even imagine what it's like in a village where the teacher graduated in the 1960s and the parents have no clue. I'm sure it is still happening. our young teachers of course refuse and try to explain, but some parents still insist at home. I had a girl who was writing perfect mirror sentences for a year. I was not amused.

One teacher did attempt to force me to write right handed in 1953-long story short-I ended up changing schools.
Also-have a read of this!"There is no such thing as totally useless information"

When I injured my right arm and could no longer use it properly, I forced myself to use my left arm and now I can do may things with it. I use only my left hand for the computer mouse now.

To try and drag this thread kicking and screaming back on track-I am sure we all wish Nong Grace every success in her end of term exams and hope she has a good holiday in which to fully recover.
