Court orders Potjaman to return land, get a refund

The Civil Court on Friday ordered Khunying Potjaman na Pombejra, ex wife of former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, to return four plots of land in the Ratchadapisek area to the Financial Institutions Development Fund (FIDF) after finding the land purchase contract between them was invalid.

The court also ordered the FIDF to return 772 million baht and pay 7.5 per cent interest retroactively from Nov 25, 2009 when Khunying Potjaman filed suit against the FIDF to return the money.

Khunying Potjaman entered into a contract with the FIDF on Dec 30, 2003 to buy four plots of land totalling 33 rai on Ratchadapisek road in Huay Khwang district.

The court declared the contract null and void because it was made in violation of Article 100 of the National Anti-Corruption Commission Act.

that is a good thing that she gets her money back,the land back to the last owner.i just wander how much will reach her former husband.

I think the previous owner will be very pleased to regain ownership especially as she got the land at a ridiculously low price because of Shinawatra's "influence"
