like they say, age ain't nothin' but a number. my mom is 4 years older than my father. my boyfriend's sister is 6 years older than her husband. i have a friend who is dating a man who is 22 years older than her. you love the person not their age. you have to allow yourself to be open to all the possiblities. it may surprise you. it doesn't matter what other people think if it makes you happy.

Currently I going after a girl 14 years younger than me
, some of her friends, it's weird! But she do find it hard at first and she
worry about her parents what they going to think about me, old enough to be her elder brother or someone elder! Whatever, it is the love that counts which I believe in, but I think societies in Asia is really not ready for that yet! What do you think of relationship of 14 years old differences betweend two of us?

Coming from a guy, the most important thing to be cautious of is him! Here in the USA most of the guys around here tend to be dating older ladies. The younger they are the more they want to go to bars with thier friends to flirt with other men. So the men are dating ladies who basically are ready for a 'real' relationship.
But please be careful about the man, men can really hurt you, especially if you are the younger one.Since light travels faster than sound, people appear bright until you hear them speak....and in every forum you will find at least one.
When you critisize someone, walk a mile in his shoes first; then, if he gets mad, he'll be a mile away and barefoot.

My rule of thumb: they need to be within 5-10 of my age. I have not met many mature guys though maybe because I live in the US. Then again, there are different factors too.

HI!!!
Very interesting topic. I dated a woman about 20 years my senior. We had a great relationship. It lasted 4 years, and 2 of them was when we were living about 14 hours away.
I learned alot during that time, like how to make a relationship work, compromise, communication and compassion.
I was 22 years old at the time, and we always had fun together. She looked like she was in her mid 30's. So, we never got questioned. And only my best friend knew about our age difference.
even though that relationship did not work out, we are still friends. The relationship ended about 10 years ago. But we still have love for one another. It's great!!!
So, age does not make a difference as long as there is love, understanding and compassion.
Thansk for letting me share!!! (^_^)

a favourite poem of mine
We all want to fall in love. Why?
Because that experience makes us feel completely alive.
Where every sense is heightened,
every emotion is magnified,
our everyday reality is shattered
and we are flying into the heavens.
It may only last a moment, an hour, an afternoon.
But that doesn't diminish its value.
Because we are left with memories
that we treasure for the rest of our lives.
