Re: Last Surviving Kampong of Singapore
Actually Kg Lrg Buangkok (KLB) can only consider as the last kampong of Singapore main island, as there are still kampong in Ubin.
The latest development around KLB is that a park connector has been built along the big drain link all the way until Sengkang Sports Centre, and that is no harm to KLB.
Opposite KLB got one very old metal factory with a field old school style buildings, I hope that will be preserved too.

Re: Last Surviving Kampong of Singapore
If Katong, Holland V, Little India, Chinatown, Joo Chiat, Geylang, Kampong Glam all of them can be preserved, why not KLB?
By the way, there's our very last pottery "dragon" kiln factory at Jln Bahar (near NTU/PIE), which JTC has plan to redevelop there. Hope this place can be preserved, too.Life is short, cherish all you have and live everyday of your life the best you can. :)

Do post some interesting pics if that doesn't take up too much of your time

Re: Last Surviving Kampong of Singapore
Yes, my friend took quite some photos of Thow Kuang, should be able to post here when my friend settle the photos. I guess we all don't mind LHL and the mini$tars cut their pay to save Thow Kuang and KLB. By the way, my stupid company laptop intelligently blocked images viewing, I only can see "char siew pao", I think you all know what I mean lah.

LHL, URA and AMK-YCK TC, please check your mailbox. I need some better player to takeover me, in case my appeal fails. Haha!
