    Dear Quek,

Thank you for your comments and feedback, which we appreciate.

We would like to seek your permission should we decide to publish your letter (with your name) in the Life! Mailbag page on Saturday.
As is our practice, we will edit the letter for length and clarity.

Once again, thank you for your interest in our paper.
PJ, I had brought today sat straits times but I couldn't find the article in the Life! Section. Did the editors publish it or my eyes are playing tricks on me?

Ok, at least now I know who exactly to tackle in URA. There's still hope.

Hopefully this piece of land will be preserve and not just another way to build more and more HDB Flats...Sometimes as a singaporeans I find that this country is a boring place to live in...Almost every weekend you can see people are going some malls to do window shopping. Eg. queue up to buy the lastest mobile phone.

How about some parts of Australia, where malls, supermarkets and many eateries close on Sundays, and close by 5pm on Saturdays?

I used to think Singapore is rather boring and slow, but now I have come to realize (and appreciate) that Singapore by far is still quite a dynamic and fun city to live in. At least, you can always be sure that if ever you feel lonely and bored on a weekend, you can always count on the busy, guaranteed-opened cafes or restaurants downtown or neighbourhood kopitiams for kopi or a meal with friends.

I'm sure in other countries, other states where most businesses are closed on weekends or only open for half days, people have other ways of bonding with one another e.g. homecooked meals together with friends over at home or a picnic cum BBQ, but sometimes I feel having lived in noisy, busy Singapore where most malls, supermarkets and eating outlets close at 10pm 7 days a week, I sort of come to miss the bustling crowds, sights and sounds.

But at least there are always something to look forward to. Be it like family or friends bonding with homecooked meals together. Well this is rather a interesting idea to bonding with homecooked meals with friends. I want to experience it someday! And I believe some parts of Australia got some interesting nature places to look out for (If you are a nature lover). Unlike sg, I think we only have Bukit Timah Hill or Singapore River to see. Come to think of it, Singapore River is actually not consider as a actual river if you have seen the world outside. I mean their river is really huge and spacious...

Ya come to think of it, somewhere in the TV shows showing Taipei does have nightlife to enjoy with (you can stay up all night to read a book in a place and they also don't mind you sleep freely, I think) whereby this is singapore lacks of it.
