Re: Last Surviving Kampong of Singapore
Yes, what a pity :( I did not know about this dish too until I went to India in 2008 and there is no turning back since then hahaha
It has stayed as one of my favourite Indian dishes.
Sleep, little one, close your eyes, mother will sing you a lullaby... Sleep in a jewel cradle, sleep, mother will rock you.
If you don't sleep the midges will go for your eyes and pollen will fall on the cradle....Sleep, close your eyes...

Not to worry, as there will always be the next time!

Re: Last Surviving Kampong of Singapore
Ok, thanks for correcting... So it's teh halia!
Try the masala tea at Tekka Hawker Centre, I tried the one at the stall adjacent to the Chinese vegetarian stall selling roti prata (there's only one Chinese veg stall selling roti prata), it's really good!Sleep, little one, close your eyes, mother will sing you a lullaby... Re: Last Surviving Kampong of Singapore
Haha and I always presume its call teh aria.
I rather prefer masala tea rather than teh halia as since young as I don't like the taste of ginger milk tea. Last time I always had fever here and then and my father asked me to drink ginger tea. I think its a way for cooling off the heat but I never liked the taste..Franklin D.
