    Travelling to Laos is not very expensive, depends where you come from. Air Asia has a KL-Vientiane route.
    (well, at least that was what Lonely Planet Laos said about people's wishes there being fulfilled!)
    Lonely Planet creator Tony Wheeler had featured in a National Geographic programme, where he went to Vang Vieng, Saiyabuli, Luang Prabang, Luang Namtha and Udomxai etc.
