    Roi et

I made some friends in this city and in Ban phai.
They took me on an amazing adventure to places not advertised or in brochures to places some of them had never seen.
These people did not know me well but what they did for me will never be forgotten. I miss them so much. Thank you Thailand.

Visit Thailand and you will come back a different person, that is if you decide to come back.....

    HI

the temple on the bottom left is near my wife's village.
I can see it from her property. we all probably 15 or 20 kilometer's away as the crow flys
did you walk all the up to the top? the stairs get really small and windy at the very top
it is supposed to be 100 meter's wide and 100 meter's tall.
it is a new temple. have they finaly finished all of it.
the last time I was there they had moved the parking down the hill some and had a bigger selling area.

this temple gets lots of bus's of monks every day it seems to be always busy whenever I go.

enjoyed your pics brings back memory's

The name of the temple is Wat Pha Nam Yoi. I went there with a Thai friend and his family while he was a monk. I took a few photos myself.

Here are a few photos from the top of Wat Pha Nam Yoi. You have to climb many narrow stairs to get here.

    Re: Roi et

I've been to Roi Et a few times. My GF's sister lives there. Roi Et, Surin, etc ... these cities are much cleaner than BKK, Pattaya, Chiang Mai. I was really impressed how much cleaner the S/E Issan cites appear to be. The restaurants and bus stations seem miraculously clean, compared to other parts of Thailand.
