Re: Easiest way to get (travel) from Bangkok to Nakhon Sawan
You need to take a bus from Bangkok's Mo Chit bus station to Nakhon Sawan, about 5-6 hours. The easiest way to get to the bus station is by taxi. Make someone write Nakhon Sawan in Thai for you, it is not a usual destination, probably you won't find the counter easily but there are lots of helpful people. DON'T get scared about all the crowd and yelling. Buses coming to Chiang Mai usually drop by Nakhon Sawan if they go during the day, not during the night though. Other buses going to the north are also likely to go into that town so maybe the bus you will be advised to take doesn't have Nakhon Sawan written on the front / side. All companies have the same prices, no scams here. It is advisable to take first class, if available, especially if you are big size. Second class buses have aircon and they are nice too, but the space is much smaller.
Hope you can come back to read my reply.

Re: Easiest way to get (travel) from Bangkok to Nakhon Sawan
We find renting a car the best way, the cost very reasonable. A couple of years ago, we used Thai rentacar, they deliverd the car to our hotel, then the driver drove us to the outskirts of Bangkok and said follow this road. lt was that easy, you will find the major road sign's are in Thai and English.
From memory it takes about 3 to 4 Hr Hrs and an easy drive. The roads are excellent 3 to 4 lanes, with good things to see and plenty of fuel come rest places along the way. You being from the state's, might find it a little difficult, because you drive on the wrong side of the road to start with, just joking. I hope you like Nahkon Sawon, l do.

Hello gunrprieto, yes David is correct, maybe this should be in Thailand Guide section ?
l also ponder at times as to where l should place a question.
Might l suggest you use this forum to help plane your time in Thailand. Spend the time and open all sections, it is very informative and no doubt would make your time in Thailand so much better.

there used to be an option to leave a redirect when moving threads to another subforum, is it still possible, I don't know
