Happy Chinese New Year, Gong Xi Fa Cai! :) :) :)
Dear members and friends,
Wishing you a Happy Lunar New Year, may you and family enjoy boundless happiness and prosperity in this new year of the rabbit, and a joyful holiday!
(Hmm, I wonder how to say the CNY greeting in Thai...)
Chok dee,
YanSleep, little one, close your eyes, mother will sing you a lullaby... Sleep in a jewel cradle, sleep, mother will rock you.
If you don't sleep the midges will go for your eyes and pollen will fall on the cradle....Sleep, close your eyes...

Thanks Yan,
Happy Lunar New Year to you, and family and friends also.

Happy Lunar New Year to year, but prosperity is the least of my concerns. I would give away every thing to get Australia back to where it was in the 50's with only 10 million people.

Thanks for your festive well wishes
I wish that my CNY this year had been any different from the previous, but it had all been the same - steamboat reunion dinner with my extended family on the eve, then visits to relatives on the subsequent two days, and also visits to the temple for a good start to the new year. I heard from someone Thai that in Thailand, their CNY comprises more religious elements as the Thai Chinese will usually spend the first day of CNY preparing all the items to be made as offering to the Buddhist monks and/or Wat, then the 2nd day is spent at the temple, while the visits will start on the 3rd day.

That is certainly a different exposure which I haven't tried before. However it my old habit of mine to always pay a visit to the temples (Wat) in singapore without fail. And this year is surprisingly different, why would I've said this?
.....its because this year was my special friend and I had paid a visit to a temple
. More importantly, I will not forget that moments till the end of my journey call life

Franklin D. Roosevelt - The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little.
