The gold covered Buddha statues that are all around the Temple glow in the mid day sun.

Re: My trip to Burma.
As for me, you could say I am kind of "selfish" in that I visit a place primarily because I am interested in it for varied reasons other than the above-stated considerations. From what I have been reading, Burma is rich with cultural heritage that I personally find charming. I would visit Burma if there's a like-minded friend or family member who could accompany me as I wouldn't dare travel alone there, unlike in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia or other Asian countries I feel safe in.

Sleep, little one, close your eyes, mother will sing you a lullaby... Sleep in a jewel cradle, sleep, mother will rock you.
If you don't sleep the midges will go for your eyes and pollen will fall on the cradle....Sleep, close your eyes...

Re: My trip to Burma.
Because you said " I second that" and so I thought you were disagreeing with what Marie said here "I would visit Burma if there's a like-minded friend or family member who could accompany me as I wouldn't dare travel alone there, unlike in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia or other Asian countries I feel safe in."
If I perceived wrongly while you actually did agreed with Marie in the 1st place...and it's my mistakes for not being able to understand clearly as I initial thought that Burma is a safe place and can travel alone or something. Like Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore and many more countries that can be considered safe to travel.Franklin D. Re: My trip to Burma.
"I second that" is a well know expression of agreement. In any formal meeting where minutes are kept, attendees can "move a motion" for consideration but it will only be discussed by the meeting if the motion is "seconded". Every motion requires a mover and a seconder, so saying "I second that" is endorsing what has been said or proposed.

That's quite all right Jason. Yes, we all live and learn!
