    these were waaaay in the morning / early afternoon. it must be at least half a metre higher around there (guessing from the numbers I see)

    looks like just south of Nawarat bridge.

    started to enter my soi now, I am a little more up though at the very end. it is a very crowded soi and people have already put together a dam at the entrance. also everyone trying to move motorcycle to the end of the soi. stranded here until it goes down at least a foot.

    Have you heard anything from the neighboring country in Mekong delta?in Cam over 50 just dead my home in SR about a meter high.I am not sure it will be spread soon coming to the areas adjacent to the capital city or not.It caused by thr Mekong fleet water and also filled out creeks and streams,lakes all over the country.i am curious probably they are also opening the damn from China,when i was kid i used to watch a movie about the war between vn and China ,Chn were released the water from dam to swallowed up the vn soldiers,i saw that dam pretty big.anyway i will read the information in the newspapers or magazine wether it's true or not.

    it dropped 10 cm in recent hours but out here of course it is still the same. at Sansai up again another 30 cm and according to a neighbour, Thai tv said there is definitely more to come.

    20,000 Chiang Mai residents affected by flooding

    Flooding worsened in the heart of Chiang Mai Thursday as more than 20,000 residents struggled badly and businesses suffered an estimated loss of Bt100 million a day.

    "Night Bazaar, many shopping centres, hotels, restaurants and commercial banks on key roads like Chang Klan, Charoen Mueang, Charoen Prathet are flooded," Chiang Mai Tourism Association president Sarawut sae Tiao said Thursday.

    He believed the damages to businesses were about Bt100 million a day.

    The Ping River overflowed and sent floods to the Chiang Mai's economic zone since Wednesday.

    "Floods have affected more than 20,000 residents," Chiang Mai disasterpreventionandmitigation chief Prajon Prachsakun said.
