Compare Air Pollution in Chiang Mai to Hua Hin
I am asthmatic & have moved to Chiang Mai 4 months ago from Koh Samui to be with my Thai wife's son as he is at University here doing his Masters degree -I live out on Ring Rd 3 but am finding breathing is harder even after swimming every day
.Has anyone got any current data on whether I would be better off living in Hua Hin on the coast-any advice would be greatly received- thanks. Nigel

Re: Compare Air Pollution in Chiang Mai to Hua Hin
As a non Asthmatic i must admit its very hard to comment as i was there in July for a week and noticed no difference from anywhere else in Thailand i have been, i was told about all the smog? maybe i was lucky, same for me when in bangkok never notice any change? i really feel for Asthmatics as a life long problem and you still have to pay for your inhalers!!!!! disgraceful. good luck Nigel, cheers

Re: Compare Air Pollution in Chiang Mai to Hua Hin
I am asthmatic myself and I think what I am struggling at this time is the insane humidity, nothing to do with air pollution. the rains absolutely keep pollution down but humidity ireally takes its toll. sea air always helps. I guess if you were fine on Samui, then Hua hin would be better.

You pay in Thailand though, your free prescription wont be worth the paper its written on here, or probably any where else in the world you go! and also i believe there is a limit on how many inhalers they give you in one go. i only no the English pay as my friend is Asthmatic and its one of his many gripes with life having to pay for it. for a health problem he was born with!

Re: Compare Air Pollution in Chiang Mai to Hua Hin
I had Pneumonia unknowingly and undiagnosed coming back on the plane from London this year, the stupid doctor prescribed me a puffer and it had absolutely no effect on me, going there twice a week and after two months he sent me to a specialist and the specialist said I had Pneumonia. It angers me so much that these doctors have spent all these years at university not to be able to diagnose a common ailment, over two months of coughing he did not even mention it was possibly Pneumonia, the fact I could not find a doctor in Australia that could understand basic English also concerns me. Doctors in Australia are over rated and over paid. They should sack all of these immigrant doctors and star training Australians to do the job, there something wrong with the Labour and Liberal parties in Australia when they won't train our own people in Australia because they can get already uneducated doctors and reeducated them after importing them give them citizenship and then they hardly understand a word of English, there probably would not know the time of day and they give these idiots degrees, it seems there got to many people with university degrees running these parties in Australia and are out of touch with the ordinary Australian.
It's about time one of these parties hired me on a significant salary to advise them on policy so they can get re elected while supporting the economy and the environment.
I don't come cheap but I doubt any of these ileitis idiots with degrees can except how little they actually do know and how much more some one from the university of hard knocks (life) actually does know.
It's totally disgusting that they have now based the Australian economy of basically selling a bit of dirt and importing people, so as to push existing Australians out of the housing market in Sydney due to unaffordable and housing consolidation due to imigration. If they can afford to live in Sydney now, its because there living in a dog box or spend two hours in traffic commuting, gone is the lifestyle, the boat is gone, you got no back yard to put it in, gone is the life style in Sydney, all because of idiots running this country.
