LDL 84 ~ Will someone please pass the dark chocolate?

I'm not bragging, but it's such a good feeling to hear your doctor's voice sounding cheerful, saying "You're doing good. Your LDL (bad cholesterol) is 84." For a year and a half now, that is.

The Christmas Baking Season offically starts tomorrow!!! I'm hosting my annual get-together Saturday night. Think I'll start with oatmeal cookies studded with generous amounts of dark chocolate chips.

What are your favorite treats for any occasion?

Roast pork-with crackling of course+apple sauce, roast potatoes and sweet corn.
PS: Had my 6 monthly blood test for diabetes & cholesterol yesterday-awaiting results.

Hope those test results come out good Khun Don. I had 'the works' done also. I'm curious to know how many days it takes to get your results. It takes on the average of 3 days here, but our little regional hospital gets same day results for blood work.

Today's cookie choice? I'm thinkin' ginger snaps. Mmmmmm, love ginger!

The oatmeal chocolate chip cookies were well sampled last night. I'd forgotten, however, that chocolate (it's the extra stuff in the chips) gives me a headache. Ginger, on the other hand, is medicinal!!!!

Oatmeal is good for you Mahin. My father-in-law in Thailand ate it every morning. I prefer mine in cookie form, however.

Mahin, I mean a type of mushroom, it's called monkey head mushroom cos it has a very furry cap, like a monkey's head.

Takes about a week-I can then call surgery for results.
