If a laws were changed and state, what he earns and saves from his payed income is his and what she earns and saves from her income is hers, that would be fair, the lawyers would make no money, they would be out of a job. At the moment it just the transfer of assets from the one who works to the one who don't work. If one partner decides to stay at home to spend privileged time with the toys (children) that the other partner is not privileged to get all there expenses covered to play all day with the toy. If the partner with the toy wants money than get a job, simple, don't bloodge off your partner to play with the toy all day and don't state your doing this for your partner, if you were single you would still have to cook your meals and clean your own clothes, making a little extra for the husband is hardley much more, just get a job you bloodger and stop thinking other people owe you a living.
It's about time all marriage and de facto laws were abolished and started treating people as if they were single, that is no one owes any one anything.
My gripe is people originally decided to become de facto couples because they did not want to be married and to be associated with married laws, however the law interfere with de facto's and forced marriage laws onto them without even signing a contract stating they wanted to be covered by these laws.
A prenuptial agreement of a cohabitation agreement should be 100% enforceable even if it states there is to be zero wealth transfer, but at the moment if you don't stater in that contract you will support that partner, than the contract is not legally enforceable.
About immigrant woman who claim violence, well then just deport them, there got there families in there home country to look after them, I'm not here to pay taxes supporting immigrants legal cost, because the immigrant is entitled to free legal aid, while hard working American and Australia citizens are up for $450 an hour paying there own attorney costs for in what are in most cases false allegations or deliberately provoked provocations. I have known Australians to go bust because they are fighting legal costs with there own money because they own a house, which they have to remortgage to pay a $300,000 legal bill to fight some one who has nothing, who gets free legal aid and vertically unlimited legal funds to fight some one who ends up becoming poor due to bureaucracy.
Who ever invented these laws were just doing so to justify giving them selves more income.
I would go to say, that 95% of all laws on this earth should be abolished and are just there to justify the ridiculously high pay these attorneys get, these attorneys know if there was not so much complexity in the system they would be out of a job.
Vote one, All marriage laws to be abolished.
Vote two, Lawers get a life and go on a holiday.

It was unfortunate you bort into the housing market at the wrong time, an unforeseen circumstance and it shows you must have had a minimal amount of equity in that home at purchase, but If you lost every thing in the housing market collapse it can only mean your liabilities were greater than your equity, you only got to keep your home from these immigrants because it was made up of 110% dept. If you have got no asset value than no one in there right mind would volunteer to take over your dept. Like I say you cant get blood out of a stone.
You say you been married 3 times, well that probably why, you have nothing to take, so there not hanging around to get a bigger slice.

I did not buy into the houseing market I was a self employed sub contractor for over 35 yrs. I had plenty of equity and assets. I saw the bust comming and I thought I was prepared for it I did not think it would last this long.

I tried to keep my business going draining my equity and assets to keep my employees paid much longer than I should have.

Un like most I have no debt

but I have something much more of value than money or material possessions.
