    Pimsleur Thai lessons

I wonder if there is any other forum member who has tried this method ? I have completed the first 15 lessons and got on really well with it. I have tried to get the next 15 lessons, but at the moment I am not getting a lot of joy with this.

I know they are very repetitive ... But its a system that works for me. I quite like the idea that you can buy on-line 5 lessons at a time ...

    I'm just sorting out lessons 16 - 20.

I liked them too, even though some of the vocab is a bit stuffy and formal.
The spaced repetition is very good, but the audio only didn't really work for me so in the end I typed up all the new vocab in a document which made it easier for me to remember. Good practice!

Still, with all the free learning materials out there, I think it's a bit overpriced for what you get.
I know you can find it for free on some less than legal sites, but for the full price you could also get about 10 hours of 1 on 1 lessons from a Thai teacher. I'd say that would get you a lot more for your money.....

I think its a case of finding a method that suits you. I feel I wasted a lot of time on other courses ... Not that there was anything wrong with them ... It just didn't stick in the brain for me ... Lol. But I find the Pimsleur method works ... Most probably because it is so repetitive ... But I feel I've found a system that I quite enjoy dong. Good idea Eric67 .. Writing some of it down ... Not sure if its overpriced ? I have just paid 21.95 dollars for 5 lessons. Haven't checked what that is in baht yet !!
