Bangkok Dangerous
Movie buffs,
Am I imagining it or are some of the scenes in Bangkok Dangerous shot off of Sukhumvit around Soi Cowboy? I seem to get de ja vu watching this movie. I always stayed somewhere on Sukhumvit using it as a staging point and I seem to know places in that movie.

Re: Bangkok Dangerous
Yes, they shot some scenes with Nicholas Cage in Soi Cowboy.
They put some Signs there informing the Tourists/Bar Visitors because many of the Bar Visitors were really Tourists no Actors and maybe some told there wifes at Home that they only will visit Temples, Beaches etc.
So everybody could decide themselves if they could be seen in the Movie (visiting a Go-Go Bar) or not.
They shot the Movie during the Military Coup in 2006 and the Film Crew flew the Set worried what might be going on.My interesting blog about Thailand at Thailand Blog ---> click here

Re: Bangkok Dangerous
Aha! Now why wouldn't a tourist want to be seen at a Soi Cowboy go-go bar??? LOL! Very interesting information djaidee. Thank you.

As I said in my Post, they might have told their wife at Home that they travel to Thailand only for the Temples, Beaches etc. - what would the wife think if she sees her man in a Movie sitting in a Go-Go Bar.

PeaBrain, I have finally learned to 'go advanced' and choose a smilie which helps to express the body language and and facial expressions which so often don't come across in the written word.

Re: Bangkok Dangerous
Yes, it's a Remake of a Thai Movie from 1999 by the Pang-Brothers; the Thai Version is much better and worth a view.
Have a look at the Links:

And you are right, I think the Version with Nicholas Cage is absolutely rubbish. My interesting blog about Thailand at Thailand Blog ---> click here

Re: Bangkok Dangerous
Thanks djaidee ... I'll check that other version out. I came across an interesting website a while back ... Its called freetv ... It shows all the latest tv shows and many quite new movies. Last night I watched the next installment of The Walking Dead. And the weekend I watched the follow on from Shrek ... Puss in boots ... Really funny.
