Re: The "Only for a Laugh" Joke Thread :-)
Another joke:
A TIME TO REMEMBER
It had been a simple operation. The doctor had cut in just below Brett's stomach.but Brett was not recovering. After a few days, the doctor discovered that he had left a sponge inside Brett's body. To remove a sponge another operation was necessary. The operation went well but still Brett did not recover. An x-ray showed that pair of scisors had been left inside this time! So, another operation. Brett was bit weak after three operations, but he was beggining to feel better. Then one day he heard the doctor ask the nurse,"Now where did I leave my hat?" Brett fell out of bed.

Re: The "Only for a Laugh" Joke Thread :-)
Wolfy, I sincerely wish you the best results with your cancer battle. I think we all know people who have battled cancer, sometimes for years.
I have many experiences from family circumstances since my early childhood which have given me insight into some things there is no need for me to relay here and now. It's not about me, anyway. I just want to explain that they do exist and I know what I am writing about.
Everyone recognizes cancer as an illness. It is socially unacceptable to make cancer or people with cancer the brunt of a joke. The same goes with physical disabilities, yet sometimes we do see it happen. Unfortunately, it still is acceptable to make fun of, or ridicule people who have a brain disorder, or mental illness. Enough said.
About 15% of the world population has a physical disability.
About 12% of the world population has a mental disorder.
It is expected that 1 in 3 people will have cancer in their life time.
It makes me wonder what percentage of the above read this forum.
With a few thousand members (am I right about this?) as well as visitors, surely there are people who read but never post. We may never hear from them.
As you may have guessed, Wolfy, I am not a funny person. Sorry for the understatement. I do enjoy humor and love to be surrounded by light hearted people who make me laugh and bring out my lighter side. Still, I think my observations deserve consideration.
Peace

Susanna, i think your observations deserve consideration and i have considered them. But why have you put your observations in the Joke Thread ?
"Consider this, consider this, hint of the century" (Sorry Guava)

Re: The "Only for a Laugh" Joke Thread :-)
Generally, I'm a go with the flow kind of person. Occasionally I speak out about something I feel strongly about.
Sometimes it's a good idea and sometimes it's not.
And it's as simple as that.
