Basic English to Thai (phonetic) translation help?

Okay, so I'm in Thailand, and I've conversant in Thai at a fairly basic level, but I don't have a teacher at the moment, and every once in a while questions come up. I'm a little worried about dictionaries, because it seems the people who write them often use formal vocabulary that doesn't reflect real Thai speech.

Can anyone give me romanized Thai translations (I can't read Thai script at all) of these words/phrases? Any help is appreciated.

buttondown shirt (not polo shirt, which I know is the same as in English, but full bottondown shirt for men)

These will seem a little weird, so let me to explain--they're for a kid who likes to argue and complain.

Don't argue with me/stop arguing with me.
Don't complain/stop complaining.

Like in any other Language there are many ways of saying so; also when using something like "Don't ..." always keep in mind to whom you are speaking - depending on age difference, social status etc. there are many words which can be used and some may be not polite or inappropriate.

As you want to speak to a kid I would use for

Don't ... = อย่า ... = yàa ...

followed by the Verb.

For

Argue = เถียง = tĭang (this is my first choice but there are other possibilities)

Don't argue = อย่าเถียง = yàa tĭang

Don't complain = อย่าบ่น = yàa bòn

But as said above there are many other possibilities.

Shirt (buttondown) = เสื้อเชิ้ต = sêua chért

normally that's the Term for a "Buttondown Shirt" but can be misinterpretated by some people - if it comes to misunderstanding just clarify/specify and add "with Buttons the whole way down" ... point with your fingers and say

it has Buttons = มีกระดุม = mee gràdum

Thanks very much for all the replies. Sorry it took me so long to get back here.

In American English, I think buttondown shirt means what perhaps "button up" shirt means in the U.K.? Like the picture above, but the collar doesn't necessarily have to button down. Apologies for any ambiguity.

I could swear someone told me seua chert was "T-shirt," which was the reason for my confusion. Is there a separate term for T-shirt?

T-shirt is seua yuut = เสื้อยืด

Or you can even just say "T-Shirt", it's probably understood by every Thai as well.
