Cinematic Thai National Anthem
Hi,
I'm creating video presentation(s) to be shown and distributed to members of the Thai community here in London.
I would really like this video:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=-MyfKNoMq6s
This version is rather bootlegged. Seems to be recorded on a mobile device in a theatre.
It is only a small production and not for profit or political purpose. More to give a sentimental, unified and patriotic feeling before the feature presentation(s).
Would it be legal and either way, is there a place I could get it from?
I am looking for the highest quality possible, HD, DVD or VCD would be ideal. I'm able to 'rip' it from any source downloaded of purchased disc but have never seen it except in movie theatres.
Thanks,
Cuba

Hi Cuba
sorry cant help but i do actually enjoy this part of the cinema experience, trying to read the Thai script and every couple of years they change the video, its hard to miss as its always after all the movie trailers.
good luck on your project.

I enjoy that part too, it's a shame we don't really have this in the UK anymore.
I find that version by far the most touching. I remember seeing it last few times I went to the cinema in BKK.
I've just realised I have a bunch of VCD's I bought in a market in Chum Phae last year. Will have a look an see if any of them have it on. Bet they don't.

This is the "Thai Royal Anthem" in Thai Script เพลงสรรเสริญพระบารมี
There are many Versions for TV and for Cinema, you can find a lot of them at Youtube with a very good Quality, so maybe you just browse them by searching with the Keywords mentioned above, maybe you even find your Version in a better Quality, as it states that it was shot in the year 2009 you should add the year as a Keyword as well - here are the Links:

I doubt that it is available on DVD, VCD etc.My interesting blog about Thailand at Thailand Blog ---> click here

the one on cinemas at the moment has a huge multi split screen at the end with all thai nationals from all ages and walks of life singing the national anthem, very moving and its the female voice version, again cheers
