    Peak Times at Suvarnabhumi Airport

What are the peak times at Suvarnabhumi Airport? Are they during day-light hours or are they at night? We will have a flight out (departure) at 0125 on April 29th and are wondering if there will be three-hour waits to clear immigration and departure at that hour of the day.

How about arrivals? We will be arriving at 2230 on April 2nd. Will there be long lines to contend with upon arrival at that hour?

Thank you, in advance. It has been awhile since we flew in and out of Bangkok. Chok dee.

If there are long queues at Passport Control don't worry just keep walking !! Yes, a bit further on there is another passport control area with hardly any queues at all. Just remember to keep on walking past the first lot.

I don't know if the second passport control is back open yet that is why they have been haveing long ques. they are enlargeing their passport control on the exit side. entering Thailand has not changed but to exit you might find a long line. until the construction is finished

I think you can never really say how much waiting time you can expect as there are many aspects which can change from day-to-day which can make the waiting lines longer or shorter.

So no matter what time of the day you fly, like in any other country of the World always be at the Airport many hours before your flight goes - this way you stay on the safer side.

It's only one day of your whole Holiday were you have to bring some extra time or do you rather want to miss your flight???

    Hi

Here is a link to another site dealing with the delay and reason why.

Hopefully it will be cleared up soon.

LIke I said in previous post I was there in Jan before they started the change over.

I was talking about the exit being long not arrivals nothing has changed at arrivals

    Hi,

A little of topic but still regarding the airport, there is a remarkably cheap restaurant in the basement of the airport if anyone should have a long wait for there flight.Checkin or store your bags at the storage desk and go down to the basement before you go through passport control. It is far better to go to this one rather than the expensive other ones you find on the other levels, i have eaten here a few times but not yet taken any pictures, but hopefully in a couple of weeks when i return to Thailand i can take some. The airport staff, pilots and cabin crew all eat here, but tourists can also. It serves excellant food with large portions and a good choice of menu. There is a report about the restaurant in this link.
