Google Street View live in Bangkok

I was roaming around Bangkok via Street View looking at a few favorite spots and encountered something kind of funny.

    For privacy, Google says:
...if one of our images contains an identifiable face (for example that of a passer-by on the sidewalk) or an identifiable license plate, our technology will automatically blur it out...
    Source: http://maps.google.com/help/maps/str...w/privacy.html

But some famous faces probably should not be blurred out, if you see what I mean.

Do you mean if it's unidentifiable why block it out? I agree!

Or block out the unidentifiable and leave the identifiable famous people for all to see? Yeah, why not!

it's some software that does it and all posters etc are the same.
I was so lucky they didn't do my soi. it is not on their map so I thought they wouldn't enter, though it's easily accessible by car and it is not a private area. they would have had to reverse out, though.
interesting thing is that they started a day or 2 before the flood - some places I can say to the hour when they did it because some sandbags are already up, but we were still at school, can see our motorcycles. unfortunately, the bridges were redone in November, cannot see the imminent flooding - though the streets at both ends of the bridge were recorded still in September.
