Uggs
UGGS
Which country did UGGS originate from? I hear some people say NZ while others say AUS. Does anyone really know? Does it really matter?
Anyways just posting this to clarify for those who want to know but are secretly ashamed to ask.

Re: Uggs
Seems like Oz, cos when Obama came to Oz some months ago, they gave him Tim Tam biscuits and Ugg boots which are supposedly iconic products of Oz. But then, who knows keke... It may be a similar case of whether SG or Malaysia owns the rights to proclaim a certain hawker dish as their own
Sleep, little one, close your eyes, mother will sing you a lullaby... Sleep in a jewel cradle, sleep, mother will rock you.
If you don't sleep the midges will go for your eyes and pollen will fall on the cradle....Sleep, close your eyes...

Re: Uggs
I had to google to see what they are. Every site I looked at seems to give credit to Australia. Zappos has my size, which most manufacturer's have given up on, but NOT my price.

Re: Uggs
Hi XFiles,
Do you still remember how I messed with that spammed advertisement of UGG in the Forums a few months back? I am sure you still do, but let me share the story with others.
That particular week we had UGG spammed advertisements in the forums twice in a row. On the third time, I decided to play a joke on the poster. Normally I would immediately delete the spam after seeing it and ban the poster. But that morning I neither deleted the post nor banned the poster (so he could see how his spam would be transformed). Instead, I edited the post by changing the trademark of the product to UGGLY and altered the prices to make them look ridiculously expensive (like $500 to $50,000, and so on). I let the post stay for a few hours while I saw the poster watching the advertisement for a long time, probably feeling helpless!

Come to think of it, they haven't returned to the Forums since them.

Being close to Easter, I immediately thought it might be a new Easter toy or candy!

Re: Uggs
Talking of the Ugg, with the fascination the Kiwis have with sheep, maybe they were the first ones to wrap their cold plates of meat (feet) in the wool.
But who ever made the boots first, out of these very tasty creatures is not important, the important thing is, if you live in a cold climate.......you gotta get a pair.
We in Australia have been wearing them for years, people here only bring them out in the comfort of their own home or while sitting around a camp fire on a cold winters night, they are not to be worn out in public at all…very sad I think…..especially since that great actress Pamela Anderson took to wearing them
Here are a few pictures of my 2nd pair, the first pair lasted 15 years and these are 2 years old, as they only come out in winter you get really good mileage out of them.
