Maybe I should take it back?
Panasonic Lumix-good choice-I do not think you will be disappointed-I have a TZ8 and find I use it a lot-the only thing I would ask for extra on it, though its JPG's are very good- is RAW.

That's one reason that I picked the LX5, it does RAW but also has a large sensor and a Leica lens

I think the whole Lumix range have Leica lenses-from TZ6 forward at least.
I looked at the LX4 when buying the TZ10-but it was too much money-now I see on Google I can potentially (subject to the sites not being scam ones!) have an LX5 for what I paid for the TZ10!
Very tempted-may visit London Camera Exchange to see what can be done on a trade in (also have some other stuff to trade in as well)

    Re: Just in case ...

Pleased to report that have survived our week in Krabi ... Must admit this thread did cross my mind when the tsunami warning sirens started and we had this mad rush from the beach ... Luckily we had a scooter close by and managed to get to our hotel quite quickly ... The hotel was situated at a top of a hill, so felt quite safe there. There was real panic and fear for a while though. Krabi itself ... Well its an OK resort ... But don't think we will be rushing back there.
