Foreigner dies in Khao San fire

A foreign tourist died after fire broke out at a three-storey commercial building on Khao San Road early on Monday morning, police said.

The victim was identified only as Charlie (surname unknown), said to be a French tourist about 26 years of age.

At 1.30am, police received a report of the fire on the first floor of the building. Firefighters took about 30 minutes to control the blaze.

Police were investigating the cause of the fire.
