Khao Lak in August?

Hi,

We are a Belgian couple and we are planning to visit Thailand . Problem is that we can only plan our holiday in August. We've been reading a lot of different things on the internet about the weather... It's the raining season and some say it can be really bad at the end of august.

So, we thought, better ask it to people from Thailand and that's how we found this forum.

Is it ok to visit Khao Lak at the end of August? Or do you advise us to postpone it to a safer month?
