Study abroad
There are three Post Doctoral scholarships funded by the the newly-built Courant Research Center ‘Poverty and Growth in South East Asia’ at the University of Goettingen, Germany.
This Postdoctoral position is expected to closely work with the Senior Research Group ‘Agricultural Economics/Rural Development’, and other members in the center as well. The person will be full time employee of the University of Goettingen, and will be paid the standard postdoctoral salary (2.500 euro per month during first few months, later 3.405 for Juniordozent post , 3.900 for Junior Lecturer). We provide full help with all the accommodation and relocation expenses.
The basic requirements include:
South East Asia nationals only (Thais and Lao preferred)
A PhD degree in agricultural management, economics, economics, statistics, business management, or other closely-related fields; preferably from the Asian Institution
Good oral and written command of both English (Our working language is English).
Strong research passion on broad issues, such as, processing industries, agricultural management, trade policies in agricultural management, food processing in particular Asian countries;
highly motivated individual to progress his/her career in Europe
Ability to develop conceptual frameworks for analyzing complex problems at various spatial and temporal scales
Field based knowledge and capability to design/conduct field researches
Good peer-review publication record
Good communication skills
Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary/multi-cultural team on trans-disciplinary issues
Willingness to travel frequently- thir role will require extensive travelling around Germany (frequent visits to the sister academic institutions in Munich and Freiburg, as well as France, Spain, Italy and the UK
As the openings for the roles are not confirmed, only after fining proper candidates the more details will be revealed.
To apply its essential to provide references from 2 academic referees, plus one personal references from the EU passport holder (not necessary academic, we need to confirm the ability of intercultural fit and communications skills as these characteristic are essential for this role.
