Re: How to pack 10 days of clothes into one carry- on-aircraft suitcase!
I only pack for seven days, although I typically stay 20 or more. There are plenty of cheap laundry services in Thailand and my stepdaughters do washing daily when we are at our house in Isaan. With the heat and all of the activities, I may change shirts and underwear two or three times each day. Changing clothes corresponds with my showering schedule. I find that the keys for me are a) plenty of showers, b) plenty of powder, c) an afternoon nap (noon until around 3:30), and c) always wear a clean cotton shirt. This is because we typically go in May, which is a pretty hot time of year.

I change my shirts three or four times a day in Thailand so I pack six and buy more while I'm there. That still means doing laundry nearly every day.
I also take two pairs of jeans because you need to wash them every few days too.
You can't pack that many clothes into a carry on bag.You can read blogs about Thailand at - www.Thai-Blogs.com

Re: How to pack 10 days of clothes into one carry- on-aircraft suitcase!
I have done this a few times. But then I usually need laundry facilities in my destination. It is simpler if the nature of the travel is pure holiday, for then I can just pack mostly pants and T-shirts. But if it's partly a business trip I have to carry at least 2 semi-business attires, or smart casuals, including a pair of decent shoes (but definitely no high heels-they're too cumbersome to carry!), so I don't look underdressed for certain occasions.
Yet for women who still care to look 'fashionable' even with a limited reportoire, they can plan well their wardrobe by selecting color schemes that will go well with any mix-and-match, top-and- bottom ensembles. Trinkets or scarves can come in handy for accent or color coordination. And for practical consideration, favor dark colors like brown, black, gray, and dark blue for trousers. Apart from not getting dirty easily, these neutral colors go well with various shades of tops. I'd forego skirts; pants will be versatile enough for all occasions. I'd certainly leave behind my heavy denim jeans. Luckily, the market abounds with many light and wrinkle-free clothing material which is perfect for travelling. On my departure day, I'd wear the heaviest of my clothes-so I don't have to pack it inside the suitcase. I'd not mind slipping on the same attire going back.
Lastly, since I always expect to carry my own luggage to be self-sufficient, I'd use a featherlight suitcase with wheels. All my essential toiletries are also travel-size or disposable.Last edited by Marie; 15-06-12 at 08:36 AM.

I don'tpack anything. I am on holiday so I don't care how much I smell. My razor is wating when I get back. I also dont wear high heels. My 130kg makes them sink into the ground making walking even more difficilt than when I am drunk

My teeny tiny Aunt Malley used to arrive wearing 3 dresses and a sweater and carrying an over sized hand bag which held her 'unmentionables'.

I do not have clothes even at home to last more than 5 days...
