Log on, but not logged on
I changed some of the information in my profile last night and now when I log on I'm shown as logged on "welcome bassai", however some of the forums are still popping up as private and I'm not indicated as being on line at the bottom of the forums where users are indicated. Also I am now denied permission to access some of the things in my profile page! Arrghh! I just spent a good amount of time trying to post also on the Thai Buddhist forum and I fear that my post was lost!

Re: Log on, but not logged on
First, I am not Mr. Wizard. Neither I am a Mr. nor a Wizard.
But I am willing to explore what could be wrong with your account.
This is really strange! I wonder what was accidentaly changed in your setting when you revised some items in your profile. I peeked at your rank's status and you're still a "Senior Member" , which allows you access to certain restricted sections. But now you're saying you have lost it. If you send me a PM as to when you will log on next we can perhaps experiment on how we can fix this.
Cheers!

I have sent an e-mail to Jingjok-who is probably the only person who can help here!

Reply from Jingjok
Everything seems alright. He is listed as a senior member. I can only suggest he clears his cache and logs in again."There is no such thing as totally useless information"

Re: Log on, but not logged on
No offense taken, Khun Don!
I just noticed now that this thread was in the moderation queue, which meant he was classified as a newbie (though he's in Senior Members list), and which probably what made him lose his Senior Member priviliges. And yes, I was going to suggest the same-clear his cache-as a starting point. It usually works. :-)
Will appreciate a feedback from you, Bassai.
PS- Regarding this :It is not lost and everybody can see it now. It is here> http://www.thailandqa.com/forum/show...12-Going-forthBassai=Arrghh! Re: Log on, but not logged on
Well I have learnt something-though I should have thought of that myself-usually the answer to a lot of internet snarl ups.
For anyone not familiar with how to do it here is a useful link that covers most browsers:

Thanks for the responses folks.
As is usual with most of my technological experiences it all boiled down to operator error! I am and always will be a Luddite no matter how hard I try!
Can build a skyscraper, trouble shoot complex electrical and control systems, but can't remember to check my own e-mail box after I change my address.
Fortunately contemplating my navel shouldn't be beyond my technical abilities.
