Sepak Takraw Information Needed
Social Demographics: Age, Gender, and ethnicity for the players and fans
History: Where it started? I have found information about China Military, Wat Phra Kaeow Temple, and King Naresuan... Dates though are all different.
Also, any special information about the game really... I have a lot of research but a lot of it is a choppy translation.
I know this is not the best way to find information, but the information I have found is a very choppy translation and just looking for some extra guidance.
thank you in Advance!!!

Re: Sepak Takraw Information Needed
This ball game was started in China nearly 2,000 years ago which was called cuju'
In Southeast Asia it started to become a favourite passtime sport among the Malays royal family during the 15th century era of the Malacca Sultanate.
This sport soon gain interest among the local Malays and Penang became the first place to popularised the game.
As Penang Island is near to Thailand's southern border, the Thai Malays also showed keen interest.
So the word 'Sepak' means kick in Malay while the Thais added flavour to the game by calling it 'takraw'.
There will be three players as a team on each side of the court kicking a small rattan ball and the game is similar to that of volleyball.
