    satu has 2 meanings?

    What i heard is that "satu" has 2 different meanings??

    mind typing the word out in thai for me??

    one is to agree, one is to describe food?? i am kinda confused.

    That is the problem with Transliteration, how can we know which Words you mean.

    I can think only of 1 Word and that is

    สาธุ = săa-tú = "Amen" (which you say at the end of a Prayer); to salute ; pay respect to

    That is the only meaning it has.

    Maybe you ask the Person again who said it has 2 meanings and let them write it down in Thai Script - you might mean 2 total different Words.

    I see the สาธุ also has a meaning 'to agree with', which is not the main one though. maybe when combined with another word? then I see there is a word สาทุ which is not in main thai dictionary but connects with food. In case this all means something??

    For more details about the word สาธุ, I found this answer about the word, and I think it is pretty complete. Note that it might be difficult to read since it is in Thai and also have many references to pali language , but I will give the link anyway in case someone is interested
