Decision on PAD cases again delayed
Decision on PAD cases again delayed
Published: 3/07/2012 at 02:13 PMOnline news:
The prosecutors have deferred until Aug 23 a decision on whether to indict core members of the People's Alliance for Democracy in court on four different cases.
The four cases are the 193-day siege of Government House by PAD protesters in 2008, PAD's siege of parliament on Oct 5-7, 2008, PAD's occupation of Don Mueang and Suvarnabhumi airports in late 2008, and alleged defamation of former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra and Bhumjaithai's Newin Chidchob by PAD leaders during their protests.
The prosecutors decided to postpone announcing a decision on whether to indict PAD core members from today to Aug 23, reasoning that the cases must be thoroughly examined because they are co-related and police investigators have filed additional charges against the accused.
