    How long Is Soon

    Hi

we all have a different concept of how long soon is.

Is it days, weeks, months , or years

I also know it depends upon the situation

but I have been finding that thai's concept is very different than western time frame.

I think it has something to do with the phrase "Mai pen rai"!

    Re: How long Is Soon

'Soon', 'I may', and 'someday' are often words of appeasement or procrastination used by people who are not ready to make a decision or change. Example: "I'll be home soon" (if I can tear myself away from the little one). That's a situation any woman would find difficult.

Of course you may have something entirely different in mind when you pose this question. Still, I think it is safe to say that 'soon' means a decision has not yet been made, or there is no end in sight. Pretty soon means 'I'm thinking about it'.

I predict it will all work out fine, even if it means you will be purchasing a ticket pretty soon.
