July 5, 2012 6:26 pm

HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej will tomorrow visit people hit by 2011 flooding in Nonthaburi before heading back to Bangkok to preside over the inauguration ceremony for five royal irrigation projects.

The ceremony will take place at the Royal Irrigation Department's headquarters in Dusit district even though the five projects are located in five other provinces.

His Majesty will make the trip by boat. He and HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn are scheduled to leave the riverside Siriraj Hospital, where he has been receiving treatment for years now, at 4.30pm tomorrow.

The Angsana Boat provided by the Royal Thai Navy will then take the Royals northward along the Chao Phraya River and go into Lad Kret and Om Kret Canals so that the Royals can visit people hit by last year's flood crisis.

The muchbeloved King and his daughter are expected to reach the Royal Irrigation Department at around 6.45pm. Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and other top officials will then report on the five irrigation projects to His Majesty.

A multimedia presentation about the projects will begin at 7.05pm.

At 7.40pm, governors of the provinces where the inaugurated irrigation projects are located will lead local officials and people in expressing their respect to the royal visitors. His Majesty will be able to see them via videolink system.
