Hi Alvin,
Now we understand why you often have "that mood" when you come to chat at TCB. Then further aggravated by frequent involuntary logouts. Or am I wrong? Anyway, wish you well! :-)

Sleep, little one, close your eyes, mother will sing you a lullaby... Sleep in a jewel cradle, sleep, mother will rock you.
If you don't sleep the midges will go for your eyes and pollen will fall on the cradle....Sleep, close your eyes...

Re: :) Hapi Singapore National Day 2012
Hi Mahin, long time no see, I'm wondering if it's me who has been more infrequent here or you have not been posting much lately?
Yes, you are right, SG comes from the Malay word "Singapura" which means something like what you said about lion state. This name comes from a local myth that the founding prince sighted a lion on the island when he first landed here centuries ago while trying to escape an uprising or similar in his country.Sleep, little one, close your eyes, mother will sing you a lullaby... Sleep in a jewel cradle, sleep, mother will rock you.
If you don't sleep the midges will go for your eyes and pollen will fall on the cradle....Sleep, close your eyes...

Re: :) Hapi Singapore National Day 2012
whilst we aren't in the best conducive learning place/environment (the country of the language itself), all and every learning opportunity has to be seized like:
translating every thought in your mind into thai...every sign u see...even food u eat...think thai, see thai, eat thai...
i have cores of drafted sms-es on my mobile inbox (coz this devices goes almost everywhere with u)..mostly in our native language, waiting to be translated into thai..
every/any doubts i have are immediately drafted and waiting to be learned..this way, u dun miss out on what u often wanna say but forget..
u can make your lifestyle teach u the desired language..
there's always time for learning..especially when u are in a queue...those minutes are all so precious

Still progressing, thanks... But not as quickly as I had preferred because there is not much spare time on hand... Soon after u emailed me those goodies, I printed them out as hard copies and are still working on them.
