Why so many spammers ???

We have attracted the attention of a major Chinese spambot that has been causing trouble for years.

Was not sure until the Google search for this answer it was automated, but the above post from 2011 seems to clinch that.

One of the reasons is pretty simple. This website gets high results on search engines. There's a lot of search engine optimization groups out there and one of the tactics is to spam forums like this one.

Most spam is from China and Pakistan, "roddie" is from neither of those countries...
