Funny, talk about beer.. I bought Tiger beer on the weekend coz it was the cheapest in the store. It was supposed to be used as snails killer. My place is full of snails at the moment due to high humidity, a friend told me about the beer properties. Snails are attracted to yeast. I was going to experiment that lol but I ended up drinking the beer haha. Have half a bottle left though, will do the experiment next weekend. Oh by the way some snails are huge look like escargot, wondering if they are edible

I don't know about beer as snails killer. But we sprinkle salt on apparently inedible ones that melts parts of their body and kills them.

I have eaten escargot a few times (cooked in coconut milk with some veggies), and they come in different sizes. However, I tend to choose only the small ones. For some reasons I feel funny eating the big ones. LOL

It is best to place the container in the ground, the snails are attracted to the beer and when they get drunk they fall in and if they can't get out drown. (I know some people who think that would be a good way to go!)

I just could not get my spring roll skins right. Now I lay them flat and spray them with a mister bottle and it is working. I found the typical dipping sauce just too sweet so I am using this product and I add with the ingredients, then roll up.

    Bangkok Peanut Sauce

Good Good but the latest posts have inspired me to try:

Here's my favorite peanut sauce recipe (and yes, I know I've posted it before):

Hint: Use a good quality peanut butter which doesn't have lots of stuff added to it. Smuckers All Natural or an organic butter would be a good choice, in my opinion. This recipe makes lots which you can portion out into small containers and freeze for later use.

After beer and a heavy week of meat, now let's get back to some healthy food
Back to 'marum' I talked to my mum about it for some reason, and she said it was so easy to peel it..my goodness how come I never knew!! And my uncle who lives close by has the tree..brilliant..so today I got marum pods to cook.. I made sour (tamarind) curry with Thai sardines.
