Maybe this should be in the music forum, but it is so Isaan, I post it here. Every little thing in it is so exactly as it is where we are. So I really like that the band return to their roots. They have other songs as well. A search will bring them up.

Here we are with an update. I'm off back to Australia for six weeks, so nothing will change while I am away...I hope.

Re: The Emu story-Building a Home in Thailand (PHOTOS & VIDS)

This is where we are now. Sorry I have enjoyed a few beverages already, but as we know, I am a happy person.

In the village now, a young guy was working on a roof, 23 years old or so, had some steel flashing under his arm, and contacted bare power wires. He was electrocuted, and fell to the ground dead. So, as his funeral gets underway, a car comes to deliver the pig, and a 14 year old kid from our old village smashes into the back of the car and kills himself. Now another funeral a half km from the first. My bloody goodness. The suffering of all these families. I sit out the back of our house this afternoon, and I hear the many bombs to signal the procession to the cremation. More than 50 bombs, as he had many friends. Such a sad business.

Very sad as you say Emu. Good to hear from you and know YOU (& family, I hope) are OK.

Watching your video, I couldn't help but notice you saying you were going to deal with the neighbor's rubber trees. Are we looking forward to moving?

There are avenues for mediatiosn Curt. We have already had a meeting with relevant parties, where I compensated the people for the land we resumed at the back. They refused my compensation offer for these trees along thw wall. As they grow bigger, the problem becomes more obvious, and the mediators will sway to my side. As the trees grow, it will become more rediculous. The guys daughter has tried to reason with him, but he doesn't listen. He will eventually lose his trees through being pigheaded. If all this fails, I will just chop what is over the boundary, and toss it back over. His daughter says ok. I am going nowhere. You can't be a pussy, you will get walked over. Cheers.
