    Re: A Different Perspective …...

So, is you point that , because the Fuller is fine with the US backed "Arab Spring", which is bad, his negative write up on the Thai protests makes them good?

    All these protests have agendas.

All these protests are owned and operated by figures far bigger than the players appearing before the cameras.

And, those people are all about money, not ideologies, whether we are talking the US, Arab States, or Thailand. It's all about the money, and who controls it. It's not about you, me or "the people'.

    Just another perspective

In a normal situation, a win-win solution in a negotiation is most desirable. However, in a crisis, it is almost impossible to reach that point, because the two parties have different goals that are in conflict. Both of them want to be the winner, but in this situation, it is inevitable that there must be a loser.

For any foreign reporter, please be fair to protesters by looking at democracy inThailand's context, which is different from one of western countries. Quite a large number of people are poor, and they are addicted to tangible benefits given to them through populist projects. They disregard the matter of ethics and good governance. Due to this phenomenon, election in Thailand turns into a bidding incident. The more incentives a party gives in populist projects, the better chance it has to win the election.

What the protesters are doing now is not obstructing a democratic election, but they are trying to have a fair and transparent election. If we have not yet found effective measures to manage to have a fair and transparent election, we will keep on fighting until we attain our ultimate goal.

Please open your heart and mind to appreciate our point of view. Do not judge us by using your western standards and criteria

P.S., when you report all the incidents that take place in the protest, please be accurate, fair, and honest with professional integrity.
