Re: Help writing name in Thai

    You could write

    22 ก.พ. พ.ศ. 2549

ก.พ. is the Abbreviation for กุมภาพันธ์ which means "February"

พ.ศ. is the Abbreviation for พุทธศักราช which means "Buddhist Era"

The "Buddhist Era" is 543 years ahead of the "Christian Era", so year 2006 would be year 2549 Buddhist Era

    Or you could write

    ๒๒ ก.พ. พ.ศ. ๒๕๔๙

๒๒ are Thai Numerals for 22

๒๕๔๙ are Thai Numerals for 2549

Re: Help writing name in Thai

    I have two questions:

    1. I have found two ways to spell my name in Thai and would like to know the correct spelling. It's Freddy and i have found เฟรดดี้ and เฟรดี .

    2. Does anyone know where I can download PSL Panpilasas fonts for windows?

เฟรดดี้ would be read in Thai as frêt dêe and เฟรดี would be read as fray-dee. I would go with the first spelling.

    Thank you for your response...

Hi, sorry for the delay in getting back here...I am an English speaker, and I use the English pronunciation of Dennis, but my father is French, and that's the spelling he gave me...so is there a difference or should I use what you have here?

Re: Help writing name in Thai

For the English pronounciation you should use the version given in post #1027 above เดนิส. The version that you quote from billk doesn't have the 's' on the end that we use in the English version.

By Googling PSL Panpilasas, you would have found many Websites:

    http://www.google.de/search?hl=de&q=...le-Suche&meta=

I found that site but the download link does not work, that's why I wondered if there were other suggestions.
