Re: Help writing name in Thai

I have just discovered this site when doing a web search about learning Thai. Many thanks to the developers of this great resource!

Having found this thread, I'm very curious about the spelling of my name in Thai: Claudio.

    Many thanks in advance!

Is your name "tonal"? or all midtone? are the syllables long or short?

There are a few ways this could be written, possibly เกาเทา

the syllables are short, it kinda sounds like cow but just with a more 'g' sound in the beginning and so does the thao. it's also a short syllable word too. so it's quick when you say them together.

In that case, my opinion is that เกาเทา would sound right.
