    Bangkok to Mahidol University

    Hi everyone,

I'm seeking your esteened advice on the best way to get to Mahidol University from Bangkok by public transport.

I'm trying to work out if it's feasible for me to get to Mahidol for a Friday afternoon meeting, if I fly into Bangkok at 11.35 (from Phuket, so no customs), drop my luggage off at my hotel on Sukumvit Soi 11, then head out to Mahidol.

What would you advise in terms of best transport options and how much time to allow?

As always, I am very grateful for your kind assistance -- and very excited to be returning to Thailand soon.

    Warmest wishes,

    Angela

    Re: Bangkok to Mahidol University

Since my previous message, I found the Transit Bangkok website, which has helped with journey planning. I understand I can take a bus from the Southern Bus terminal (after making my way there from Nana BTS), or travel to Wong Wian Yai BTS and take a Salaya shuttlebus from there.

Any idea which is the quickest/best route? And any idea how much time to allow?

    Thanks again

    Hi Angela,

It's better to take the Wong Wian Yai route by BTS and get off at Bang Wa Station, Gate 1 or Gate 2, then take a shuttle bus to Mahidol Salaya.

From the airport to Sukhumwit Soi 11 then to Salaya will take approximately 3 hours, depending on the traffic.
