It is a good list! In fact it's the best one I've seen and I've got all those previous lists too.
Taking into consideration he was working OFF Chula's 2013 list and given the breakdown of categories they used in compiling their list is;academic texts, non-academic, news, fiction, law, and miscellaneous. They make up 28.6%, 16.7%, 15.2%, 22.8%, 3.9%, and 12.6% of the total count (the exact composition changes slightly after deleting entries and also for each version of the raw list, but these are approximate numbers),
Now as far as the word ทรง. Every single gurl (who wears a brassiere) knows the word ยกทรง! . Also anyone who's ever changed the style of their hair would know it as ทรงผม. To a lesser extent it's used for "remembering" ทรงจำ, and for "having knowledge or being qualified for" ทรงคุณวุฒิ.. Again the last ones aren't used but the first two are...
