Well, well a seventy Baht note......whats next, an eighteen satang coin? Surely it would have been more sensible to print a commemorative 100 baht note, or at least keeping to existing denominations to avoid confusion. If I were handed a "70" of any currency, I would suspect it was the work of stupid counterfietors.

I don't think you will be handed one, 20,000,000 copies is not much in banknote terms and is aimed at collectors.

Have you ever been handed a 60 baht note? There have been several, I have a few of this one:-

I think a 70 baht commemorative note, sealed in some way to preserve it, would be a great idea. Of course, it should come from the mint in the case with certificate. Just my opinion, of course, and I also think they should do collectible bullion coins. Even if they were not popular in Thailand, they would attract collectors worldwide.

To celebrate the Queens 80th birthday an 80 baht note was issued:-

And for the Kings 80th birthday a '16' baht note was issued, it was actually an uncut sheet of a 1, 5, and 10 baht notes with the same serial number:-
