    My girlfriends brother gave me this to wear around my neck, and where ever I go in Bangkok, people look at me, and some times people come up to me and wai my necklace.

    So, can someone tell me what it is? What, if anything, it protects you against? The story behind the monk, etc?
    Anything, anything anyone can tell me would be great
    And also perhaps a translation of what it says?

    I just read another post, and maybe the name isn't "Lom pra Khun" as I thought it sounded like, but something along the lines of "Long Pok Kun" ?

    Wat Ban Rai is a famous temple in Nakhon Ratchasima province. It is the residence of the revered monk Luang Pho Khun Parisuttho. There are many worshippers who come to see him daily. Including the present prime minister:
