Yingluck accuses junta of ‘hounding’ her family

Former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra yesterday pleaded for sympathy for her brother as the junta revives attempts to collect back taxes from former premier Thaksin.

The Prayut Chan-o-cha government this week asked the Revenue Department to collect the tax, which could amount to Bt16 billion, from Thaksin over the controversial sale of Shin Corp in 2006.

Yingluck accused the junta of “hounding” her family, saying the law should not be enforced indiscriminately or used as a tool to hound one side....................
