Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has appealed to the public to let him stay on in power to "continue laying the foundations for the country", though he gave no indication of how long he intends to remain at the helm.

He urged the public not to lose hope in him or his government.

Re: Prayut appeals for more time at the helm

Too late......his record speaks for itself and "the people" are clamouring for a free and fair election. Prayut refuses to give the people what they want, so hopefully, this appeal of his will also fall on deaf ears. Military rule has proven to be just as riddled with corruption as previous Thai governments and "democracy" is now absent from the Kingdom. Government is never improved by attacking civil rights, the rule of law or freedom of speech and expression.
